WTF! It's a Dog Cafe!

We are The Furballs (WTF) is Singapore's first dog petting cafe found in Bugis +. I stumbled upon this cafe when I was browsing my Instagram feeds and saw one of my friend's post. I got excited when I saw it as I am a dog lover and I really miss my dogs back at home. I searched for the location of this cafe and did a bit of research. They do have a minimum age entry which is 10 years old and above. They will need an ID for this so make sure you bring along your child's identification to enter. I think this is a good thing since children will sometimes get excited when they see dogs (or pets in general) and might do something which can stress the dogs. The entrance fee also includes 1 free drink. They will also let you read their terms and conditions as well and if you are not comfortable with it, they won't force you to go in. All the staff are very accommodating and are willing to answer any queries. The opening hours and prices are as follows:

Monday - Thursday

$10.90/entry

$9.50/entry (Students below 21 years old with a valid local student ID)

Friday - Sunday, PH & eve of PH

$12.50 for the first 2 hours

$2.50 for subsequent half an hour

They also recommend to have a reservation as they will only allow a certain number of people inside so that the place won't be crowded. I think this will allow everybody to spend quality time with the fur balls. For those with dogs, the cafe does not allow any "outsider" dogs to avoid any event that can lead to injury. For reservations, they have a Facebook page where you can contact them or you can call them for same day reservation. (65091186) We did not have any reservations so we had to wait for about an hour before we can go in. During the first few minutes, the dogs were still quite warming up to us and they suggested to stay in one place so that the dogs will get use to you.

After some time, they will come to you and some will even sleep on your lap. However, if you really want to get up close, you can buy some treats from the cafe (they won't allow outside treats) and they will really do some tricks for you.

Since we did not buy any treats, we just waited for them to warm up to us and enjoyed watching them play and sleep. Some of the little ones were quite feisty and you must take caution when touching them specially if they are sleeping. Mochi, a mini maltese, was the first one who really slept on our laps. However, she was angry at first because we disturbed her sleep. After spending some time just being near her, we were able to gain her trust. Just look at how cute these before and after photos are.
