The Red Dot Goes Green Dot

I did my groceries today at Bedok Mall and I passed by a new food stall located on the basement area of the mall (near Guardian). Since I am really hungry, I was actually looking for a place to eat before I go home. When I saw the place, I got curious as to why are there many people queuing in the Greendot. I went over to their reception and looked at the menu. I am not a vegetarian, I always eat meat and I am not that conscious with what I eat. However, as a nurse, I know that it is still better to try to have a balanced and healthy diet once in a while. Besides, the reception staff was very pleasing and even offered to help me carry my groceries (talk about going the extra mile). He showed me to my table and instructed me to queue to order my meal. All the staff showed enthusiasm to serve and that will make you appreciate the place more. Click on the photo to see their menu while we wait for the food.

They really lived up to their motto, "To change the world one delicious green meal at a time". Their menu ranges from salads, noodles to a rice bento box where you can choose to have brown rice ( a healthier alternative to white rice). I decided to go with their dry noodles with shitake mushroom sauce with soya katsu shitake. They don't offer any soft drinks. Instead, they offer the healthy option of fruit juice or tea. Just when I thought that all vegetarian diet is bland and boring, Greendot definitely proved me wrong. I did not even notice that I am not eating any meat. It looks like meat, it taste like meat but its mushroom and soya slices. Mindblown. I also enjoyed the soup that comes with the meal. For SGD 8.90 plus SGD 2 for the drinks, I ate a healthy, delicious and guilt-free food.

Greendot boast of fresh, quality meals which are prepared on the spot. Their logo is an Enso, meaning “circle”, which symbolizes enlightenment, strength and elegance. It is an incomplete circle, because they strive for continuous improvement and is encouraging others to join in their movement of spreading care, love and hope.
